Honoring the civilian victims

Every year since 1992, civil society in Pridnestrovie holds a silent day of mourning to honor the fallen victims of that year's bloody Moldovan invasion of Pridnestrovie.

In gross violation of the Geneva Convention, Moldovan invasion forces moved indiscrimately against defenseless civilians. In weeks of bloody terror, civilians were slaughtered and almost every family in Pridnestrovie today knows a friend or a relative who became a victim.
