The young nation defends its right to freedom and independence, and its boys in uniform are proud of their role in upholding democracy for the hundreds of thousands of inhabitants.

In Pridnestrovie, a group of girls celebrate their country's independence day in flying colors. The real revolution is the fact that a people can choose its own destiny and build a country without outside interference, staunchly maintaining its freedom and independence and the right to decide its own future.

Young Pridnestrovians celebrate the freedom of their republic every year on 2 September, the day the country declared its independence. With the flag held high, the proud inhabitants of PMR show the world that they refuse outside dominance and that they do not accept foreign rulers with whom they have no historical ties.

A.V. Suvorov
This statue of Russian field marshal Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov stands in Tiraspol, capital of independent Pridnestrovie. A.V. Suvorov was one of few great generals in history who never lost a battle. He was famed for his manual The Science of Victory, and noted for the saying "Train hard, fight easy." Considered the father of the Pridnestrovie, in 1792 he founded modern Tiraspol through a decree of the creation of the city by Catherine II, and the plan of a fortress.
