A multiethnic nation, most of Pridnestrovie consists of Slavic Europeans. This boy is born in the country when it was already named Pridnestrovie and fully independent. Freedom and independence is all that he has ever known ... he has never lived in a country which was part of any other nation.

Standing above his grave, this Pridnestrovian mother mourns the loss of her only son to a Moldovan sniper in the failed 1992 invasion attempt on Pridnestrovie. During the attack, Moldova indiscriminately terrorized the civilian population with sniper warfare and air bombings of residential neigborhoods.

On the anniversary of the War of Pridnestrovie, she honors the memory of her brother who was slaughtered while defending the nation from invading forces. She was just a young child when Moldova tried to take Pridnestrovie in 1992.
