Daily life in an ordinary city in Pridnestrovie is like everywhere else in Europe: Shoppers do their errands, take their kids to school, meet for lunch. The street scene is characterized by a growth in private business. Since independence in 1990, the government of the country has worked hard to provide the infrastructure to attract more solid forms of investment, particularly from the private foreign enterprises.
