Pridnestrovie's official state organs

In the new Europe, open and transparent government administration is built on the rule of law. The state organs of Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublica are signposts of the transformations taking place in this country. Defending the vibrant young democracy, the people themselves are building the nation's democratic institutions to safeguard their freedom.
Guarding freedom
A young member of Pridnestrovie's republican guard stands watch as two of his colleagues present a floral tribute to the nation's fight for freedom.

The forty-eight state organs of Pridnestrovie represent the will of the people over enemy rule. Now in their 16th year, the country is proof of the value of freedom, sending a clear message to leaders everywhere that effective, open government for the people is possible only when the people have a stake in their own future. Brave and alone, Pridnestrovie's people took it upon themselves to build a new nation in the ruins of the Soviet failure. They rose to the moment, came together and created a Western, market-based state based on the rule of the law. Their ministries and state organs are a tribute to an independent nation and a people celebrating their freedom.

Open, transparent government is the foundation of the young nation's rule of law. It is illegal for a government official to work in secret, or to make administrative decrees or decisions behind closed doors.
Everything is freely available to the people: From a national law right down to even the smallest administrative regulation or ordinance. Today, a legislative body of nearly 25,000 legal documents from the state organs of the PMR are fully available and searchable online, with no restriction or censorship whatsoever.

Pridnestrovie still has a lot of work to do. But it is a promising sign of what a young country can accomplish with independence and freedom: Open, transparent nation building with democratic institutions and a responsibility to the people. [ More ]
