Flashing the peace sign, this local-born demonstrator in Pridnestrovie stands beneath his country's flag in a protest rally in Tiraspol, PMR's capital. His country, independent since 1990, is attacked by a "Cold War" of Moldovan agression and lies. But as an ethnic Moldavian himself, he just wants Chisinau to stop and to recognize that in Pridnestrovie, all citizens stand together for the defense of their nation's freedom. Even ethnic Moldavians have no wish or desire to ever join Moldova. Their priorities, like every other citizen in Pridnestrovie, are fully centered on the continued consolidation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. In PEACE.
