Within the framework of electronic customs filing, under guidelines approved by the World Customs Organizations, Pridnestrovie today possesses one of the most modern Customs organizations in the new Europe.

The republic adopted and implemented all recommendations of the WCO's Framework of Standards to Secure and Facilitate Global Trade, an advanced program based on principles of preliminary information and electronic declaration.

By modernizing the customs procedure on a European model, Pridnestrovie has today put an end to speculation about corruption.

" - The purpose of introduction of electronic declaration," says Vitaly Shapoval, PMR's inspector of customs analysis, "is not only acceleration of customs clearance and control but also adding transparency to custom procedures. In addition, we also remove the subjective factor of decisions by individual officials."

The streamlined customs clearance «AIST-PMR» system is now in place, with streamlined electronic filing of customs documents. The electronic declaration system is fraud proof and replaces paper declarations in nearly 100% of all cases.

" - Customs legislation of PMR is based on international standards, which are about assistance to trade and creation of favorable conditions for foreign trade activities," head of Tiraspol Customs house Gennady Stepankin says.

" - The employees of the Customs Clearance Department provide the necessary conditions for implementing treaty obligations by participants of foreign trade activities of Pridnestrovie with its foreign partners, accelerating commodity throughput at the customs of our republic," the chief of Customs clearance of Tiraspol Customs house Sergey Tkachenko assures.

European and WCO standards in electronic filing adds transparency to the process and is effective in putting an end to smuggling.
" - Our branch carries out activities against smuggling and infringements of customs rules," inspector of DSC and ICR of Tiraspol Custom house Victor Platonov says.

With a system that is above board, and with smuggling nearly eliminated, Pridnestrovie now attracts the kind of companies who are comfortable dealing in a clean business environment.

" - The experience of the last years convince us that the companies which are active today in Pridnestrovie are participating in foreign trade activities with a spotless customs history, clear and transparent. These are the companies who are well respected in the market. They take care of their reputation," states the Deputy chief of Tiraspol Customs house Nikolay Eskin.
