Pridnestrovian Railroads

Pridnestrovie is proud of its strong, modern transport infrastructure, not least in rail services as this train station above shows. Located as a strategic transborder crossing point in South Eastern Europe, the nation's railroads serve as the basis for our advanced, industrialized economy.

The state-owned company Pridnestrovian Railroads - "GUP Pridnestrovskaya Zheleznaya Doroga" - was founded in 2004. It owns and manages 8 train stations.

In the first year of its existence, it transported 57,370 wagons (equivalent to 2.2 million tons) of exports for Pridnestrovian companies. In the same period a total of 3,535 transit trains passed through the country, carrying a total of 10.3 million of tons of goods for Ukraine and Moldova.

These numbers show the importance of our country in the international trade of the Europe. They also underscore the level of integration with Europe which our country has already reached.
