On the night of Pridnestrovie's annual beauty pageant, 3 excited contestants get together for a pow-wow while tension builds and they await the verdict of the judges.
Civic events like this one build community spirit and bring all of the country's ethnic minorities together, forgetting language differences and ethnic lines and uniting behind the common goal of proudly consolidating their unique and independent sovereign nation.
From left to right, shown here are an ethnic Russian, an ethnic Ukrainian and an ethnic Moldavian, respectively ... but above all, all three are local born and raised Pridnestrovians.
