Anatoliy Guretskiy, Minister of Justice

In 2005 Anatoliy Guretskiy was appointed Pridnestrovie's new Minister of Justice. A native of Pridnestrovie, he was born on a farm in 1955 in a village near Grigoriopol, the son of farmers.

Anatoliy is a lawyer. Before his country's independence, he worked as a Public Prosecutor in Chisinau (then MSSR, a part of the Soviet Union - today Moldova). After the independence of Pridnestrovie in 1990, he worked at the Dubossary inter-regional prosecutor’s office, then as the public prosecutor of Tiraspol. In his post as Minister of Justice, he succeeded Victor Balala, the country's previous Minister of Justice; now retired.
