Flag of Pridnestrovie

The National Flag of Pridnestrovie is an official state symbol, whose description is established by law. It is a symbol of the sovereignty of the state.

The flag was adopted at the time of declaration of independence of the republic in the year 1990. It is a rectangular cloth consisting of three horizontal bands, red-green-red.

It is a 100:150 flag, which means that the proportion of the flag’s width to its length is 2:3. Example: If the flag is 50 centimeters in height, the width should be 75 centimeters.

Proportions of the three bands of color are 3:2:3, with the green band being narrower than the two red bands.

The two colors are bright. The red is a fire-engine red. The green is a mid-level green.

Other flags in use in Pridnestrovie include the presidential flag (same, but with an insown coat of arms) and the customs flag (darker colors).
